The President of Overwatch recently operated as a protection unit team leader in the state of Louisiana during the aftermath of hurricanes Katrina and Rita.  During the relief efforts that followed, operations were hampered by armed gangs taking advantage of the situation - using the misfortune of others as a means of taking control of large areas of the city of New Orleans and surrounding parishes.  Medical teams came under sniper fire, equipment and aid supplies were plundered by armed criminal gangs, military and law enforcement organizations were overwhelmed with rapidly increasing criminal activity and as a result, were unable to provide protection to aid workers and disaster victims alike.  It became very apparent that there was a requirement for a dedicated protection unit that could deploy trained personnel at short notice to disaster stricken areas to assist with relief operations by providing force protection and security services to first responders and other emergency response personnel who are too involved with the task at hand to provide protection for themselves. 

Overwatch is therefore proud to present it's new, dedicated 'Disaster Relief Protection Unit':

The unit is capable of deploying anywhere in the continental US within 72 hours of activation (anywhere else within 5 to 7 days) and can provide ongoing security and protection services for as long as necessary.  Our unit consists of highly trained, experienced bodyguards who have specialized knowledge of working in disaster areas.   Our dedicated disaster relief protection unit is available under contract to commercial organizations and government departments alike.  For more information about Overwatch's dedicated Disaster Relief Protection Unit, send an e-mail to DRPU@ops-int.com.
